Roser is my rescue greyhound Sherlock’s first love. She was his trainer when he was a young pup of three or four months and he never replaced her in his affections.

When he was joined by his mate, Merlin – also a rescue hound – we signed them up to Lladruc’s short course ‘Tengo un perro y ahora qué?’ where a mix of theory and practice kept our dogs (and our Catalan) on their toes and we humans came away feeling more confident about caring for our canine friends. Whenever we went away, I knew that both dogs would be loved and, frankly, totally spoiled at Roser’s family house. They were always reluctant to come home! We have now moved to England but I know that my dogs won’t find another friend and sitter who has such a great rapport with them.
